Creating a Resource

Resources can be allocated to an appointment to reserve a room or piece of equipment, and to prevent double-bookings. For example, resources at a podiatry clinic would be a laser machine or 3D scanner.

Creating a Resource

To create a resource, Go to Settings > Appointment Book > Resources.

Click Edit.

Click Add.

A new line will appear, enter the Name and select one or more businesses that will have use of the resource.

By clicking Access, you can choose which practitioner has access to the resource.

Choose the practitioners who need access to the resource and click Save to confirm the changes.

Allocating a Resource to an Appointment

To add a resource to an appointment, select the Appointment and then select Appointment Details.

Under Resources a drop down menu will appear.

Select the resource you want to add and select Save.

By allocating this resource to an appointment, it will not be possible to assign the resource to another appointment at the same time.

Choosing Default Resources per Appointment Type

If a resource should always be allocated to a specific Appointment Type, you can set the resource as a Default Resource. Any time that Appointment Type is booked, it will attempt to reserve the resource.

This feature also works with the Waiting List and Online Booking system so that times for an appointment are only displayed when the resource is available and not already booked.
