Finding appointments with missing clinical notes in bulk

Updated over a week ago

This article will run through the reporting process of identifying appointments with outstanding clinical notes.

Why choose this report over the Outstanding Clinical notes widget?

This report allows you to get the total amount of appointments that require Clinical notes within a date range. The Widget only displays a maximum of 40 appointments across all practitioners. The report can be best suited for large clinics and can be best used with the scheduled report system to get this report sent via a daily, weekly or monthly email.

Generating the report

To generate the report, go to Reports > Appointments > Appointments.

Input your preferred date range. For this example, we will use This week.

Ensure that you keep the Report type on Patient.

Select the Billing status as Billed. This is to get only completed appointments.

Set the Clinical notes filter drop down to None.

Optional Filters include:

Appointment With: To filter on certain Practitioners.

Appointment Type: To focus on certain appointment types.

After applying your preferred filters, click Generate report.

This will list all appointments in your filter set without clinical notes.

As mentioned above, this report is best used with scheduled reports. To set this up, see the How to create a scheduled report setup article.
