How to Generate an Invoice Adjustments Report

Updated this week

Overview

The Invoice Adjustments Report provides a comprehensive list of items invoiced before a specified date ('item dated before') and tracks modifications made within a defined adjustment period ('adjustments made').

This is useful for determining what changes were made to invoices on specified dates and is typically used to track down invoice adjustments made after reconciling.

How to Use

1) Setting the Adjustments Made filter

The date range selected here defines the adjustment period, with all modifications made to the selected Items in that range being shown.

Example: Setting this to Today will show all adjustments that were made today, for the selected Items. Setting a range will include all adjustments made between the two dates.

2) Setting the Items Dated Before filter

The date selected here sets the cut-off for which items will be included based on the item's date, with all items invoiced before the selected date being included.

Example: Setting this to the 1/1/2025 will show items that were invoiced before that date and the adjustments made to them in the adjustment period.

3) Select a Business / Practitioner

This filter allows for only items invoices to select businesses and/or practitioners to be shown. For all adjustments, leave this unchecked.

4) Set your Group by preference

These options enable the results to be grouped by the business and/or the practitioner that they were invoiced against.

Once your preferred filters have been set, click Generate Report.

Results

The results section will show all of the adjustments that were made based on the filters set, including the actions performed, any details that were adjusted, the user responsible, and more.
