Item Groups

Item Groups are designed to collate multiple item codes from different schedules together for reporting purposes. Item Groups can also be enabled for invoicing, ideal for appointments that require multiple items to be billed.

Creating Item Groups for Report Filtering

To create an Item Group, go to Settings > Billing > Item Groups.

Click Add to create a new Item Group.

Enter the Item Group Name.

Click Add and then select the item codes you wish to add to this group.

Click Save to create the new item group.


Creating Item Groups for Invoicing

Enable Allow Item Group to be Invoiced if you wish to add this item group to an invoice.

Use the Add button to select the item codes you with to add to the group. Note that an item can be added to the list multiple times, or the item quantity can be customised if appropriate.

Use the drag handle on the left of the grid to adjust the rank of each item.

Item groups can also be applied as the default item code for your Appointments Types. More about appointment type defaults can be found here.

If an item group can be invoiced, it will appear in a dedicated Item Groups section of the item code drop down menu on the invoice screen.


After selecting the item group, all items within the item group will be automatically applied to the invoice.
