Enabling Appointment Alerts for Practitioners

Receive SMS, Email or system notifications when an appointment is made, cancelled and rescheduled.

Updated over 8 months ago

Practitioner Appointment Alerts allow practitioners to be notified when appointments are made, rescheduled or cancelled by a staff member or client online via the online booking system. These alerts are enabled individually per practitioner and can be sent by SMS (standard SMS charges apply), email and/or system alert within PracSuite.

Note that a practitioner will not receive alerts when they are changing their own appointment book, or for any appointments in the past.

Enabling Alert Preferences Per Practitioner

From the list, select the practitioner you wish to enable alerts for and select Edit at the top to make changes.

Scroll down to the Appointment Alerts section.

You can choose to enable alerts for new, rescheduled and cancelled appointments. Separate options are available for changes made by staff and for patient managing their appointments online.

Alert Previews

System

System Alerts are displayed as notifications and and within the Alerts pane in the bottom right-hand corner of PracSuite.

Email

Email Alerts are sent to the email address listed on the Practitioner File.

SMS

SMS Alerts are sent to the mobile number stored on the user account that the practitioner file is associated with. Note that standard SMS charges apply for SMS alerts. Click here to learn more about PracSuite SMS pricing.

Setting up the practitioner's mobile number for SMS Notifications

To enable SMS notifications, the practitioner will need to have a User Account. Make sure their Mobile number is entered correctly and that they are set as the correct practitioner.
