This article provides some basic guidance on triggering Meta Pixel events when online bookings are completed in PracSuite. Please consult with your digital marketing expert on best practices, as Meta Pixel tracking is outside of our support scope.
Log in to your Facebook/Meta Business account at: https://business.facebook.com
Select Settings.
In the Data Sources section, select Datasets and Pixels.
You will need to create a Meta Pixel for your PracSuite online booking site. Facebook provides instructions on how to do this here.
After creating your Pixel, you will need to copy your Pixel ID into PracSuite
Your Pixel ID can be found on the Datasets & Pixels page within Meta Business.
Enter your Meta Pixel ID into PracSuite in Settings > Online Booking > Overview.
Select Save and head back to your Meta Business page.
From the Datasets and Pixels screen, select Events Manager.
Select Add Events.
Select Add a new Integration.
Select Meta Pixel.
Select Manually Add Code to Your Website.
Select Add events.
Enter your PracSuite booking URL and then select Add Events.
You'll be taken to your online booking site to configure the events you wish to trigger based on activity on your PracSuite booking site.
For the example below, we are going to fire a Purchase event on the final 'booking confirmed' screen.
Navigate through your booking process and complete a test booking. Ensure that you have received the final confirmation screen.
When you reach the last page, in the Meta event setup tool select Track a URL.
Select Purchase and URL contains as shown below. Ensure that the URL is your PracSuite booking URL, not the one shown in the screenshot below! Your URL should appear by default.
You can also nominate a value for the booking, or leave it blank.
Select Confirm and Finish Setup.
With this now set up, the event will be triggered when anyone reaches the confirmed booking screen. You should see this reflected in your Meta Business Events page.
