How to Cancel a Tyro Health Online Claim Submitted via PracSuite

When a Medicare Bulk Bill or DVA claim is submitted from PracSuite via Tyro Health Online, the corresponding invoice in PracSuite becomes locked. This prevents changes from being made to the invoice in PracSuite until Medicare or DVA has approved or declined the claim.

In these cases, the following message is displayed at the top of an invoice:

PracSuite allows you to remove the lock on the invoice. This is most commonly used when a new provider hasn't been correctly registered for online claiming in Tyro Online, and the claim becomes stuck in an outstanding state. Once the registration issues have been resolved, you can remove the lock on the invoice in PracSuite and proceed to resubmit the claim.

Please note that the cancel function only unlocks the invoice in PracSuite. It DOES NOT cancel the claim in Tyro Health Online or Medicare. You must contact Tyro Health Online and Medicare if a claim has been submitted in error.

Bulk Bill and DVA claims can be cancelled from the Tyro Health Online tab of the patient file.

Hover over the claim you wish to cancel and select the X to cancel the claim in PracSuite.

The invoice will be unlocked, and you will be able to edit the invoice in PracSuite.

You must ensure that you have contacted Tyro Health and Medicare to cancel or reverse any bulk bill or DVA claims that have been submitted in error.
