Setting Up an Instalment Plan
From the invoice screen, enter the full payment amount and select the Instalment option.
Select the frequency and number of instalments.
Allocate to outstanding invoices, then leave unallocated - Instalment payments will be applied to any outstanding invoices on the account,
Leave payments unallocated - Instalment payments will always come back as unallocated payments.
The Tyro Health Online popup will appear confirming your selections.
Select Yes to send the payment link directly to the patient via SMS.
Select Create Instalment Plan to finalise the process. The following screen will appear. If you don't want to send the payment link to the patient by SMS, ensure that you copy the instalment link.
What does the patient see?
When your patient taps the payment link that you sent them, they will see an overview of the instalment schedule. The patient must fill in their credit card details and select Approve.
The first instalment will be debited immediately. Subsequent instalments will automatically be debited from the card provided.
Viewing active Tyro Health Online instalments
A list of active instalment plans can be viewed in Tyro Health Online in the Holds & Plans section on the left.
Declined Instalment Payments
When an instalment payment is declined or failed, and email will be sent by Tyro Health Online to business admins that you have registered in your Tyro Health Online account.
You will need to contact the patient to work through resolving any declined payments.
