An important note on using Tyro Online Payments without a provider number: Tyro Online Payments require a provider number or a unique location ID to be added to PracSuite. If you don't have a provider number, you must add your Tyro unique location ID to PracSuite. Click here to learn more.

Processing Card Payment via the Invoice Screen

To process a card payment through Tyro Health Online, enter the payment amount into the EFTPOS or Credit Card field in the Payments section of an invoice and select the Tyro Health Online Payment button.

Alternatively, you can pay the entire amount using the Tyro Health Online quick pay icon:

The Tyro Health Online popup will appear.

When first processing a payment via Tyro Health Online, you must enter the patient's credit card details.

Select 'Save card details for next time' with authorisation from the patient to skip this step in the future.

Click Charge to finalise payment.

If you choose to save the patient's card info in Tyro Health Online, you will see an indication of this on the invoice screen in PracSuite.

Creating a Payment Link

Using Tyro Health Online, you can generate a payment link that allows the patient to finalise payment using their smartphone.

Sending a Payment Link via SMS

Initiate a Tyro Health Online payment as shown in the steps above.

Select Create Link rather than Enter Details to get a shareable payment link.

Select Yes to send an SMS directly from Tyro Health Online.

Select Charge to finalise the process and send the payment link to the mobile number displayed.

Manually Copying A Payment Link

Initiate a Tyro Health Online payment as shown in the steps above.

Select Create Link to get a shareable payment link.

Under 'send link directly to SMS?', select No as we will only copy the link to send manually.

After selecting Charge, you will be presented with the payment link.

After copying the link, select Close to return to PracSuite.

The final step is to manually paste the copied link into the message you're sending to the patient.

What does the patient see when visiting a payment link?

When patients click the payment link, they will be presented with the following screen in their web browser. The patient must enter their card details and approve the payment.

It's possible to require patients to save their card details. Click here to learn more about how to enable this option via your Tyro Online settings.

Once the patient selects approve, a payment will automatically be applied to the corresponding invoice in PracSuite.
