Editing a patient's appointments in bulk
Updated over a week ago

From the Appointments tab of that patient file, you can edit appointments in bulk, which can be handy if you need to update all appointments to a new type or practitioner.

Note that this function is not available for group appointments.

Begin by opening the patient file and heading to the Appointments tab.

Editing All Future Appointments

To edit all future appointments, select the Edit Appointments button.

Editing Specific Appointments

To edit select appointments in bulk, usethe checkboxes to select which appointments you would like to edit and then select Edit Selected Appointments.

Editing Appointment Details

You will be taken to the appointment book and see a list of the patient's appointments you can then edit where you can update the Date, Time, Practitioner - Business, Profession, Appointment Type, Resources, Duration and Item Code.

Hover over the three-dot menu on an appointment row to apply all settings to every other appointment you are editing, excluding the date. This allows you to quickly move all appointments to a specific practitioner or update the item code for all appointments, etc.

After finalising your changes, select Edit Appointments at the top or use the drop-down to Edit Appointments and Print/Email a schedule to the patient.

If there are any conflicts, they will then be displayed on the screen for you to resolve. This is due to the change made not being a valid appointment. All valid changes will have been made to the patient's appointments. You can select Back and leave these conflicts unchanged or use the dropdowns to rectify before selecting Edit Appointments again to confirm.
