Viewing SMS Replies in Alerts
SMS replies are displayed in the Alerts tool in the bottom right-hand corner of PracSuite. Access to the Alerts tool must be enabled on the Role assigned to a user.
A red notification icon will appear when SMS replies are received. Click on the Alerts icon to reveal the messages.
Clicking on the reply will reveal relevant actions, including opening the patient file, replying, marking the message as read and clearing the message.
Select the 3 dots icon to mark all alerts as read and to clear all read alerts.
The setting cog icon includes the following options:
Show dock when there are unread alerts
Only show alerts for my logged-in Business (selected in the top right-hand corner of PracSuite)
Display SMS Replies
Display Online Booking Alerts
Display Practitioner Alerts
Display Waiting List Alerts
Viewing SMS Reminder Replies on the Appointment Book
SMS replies to appointment reminders stand out on the appointment book with a speech bubble icon.
Click Appointment Details to view the reply
In the Communication area, you can see the initial appointment reminder and the reply from the patient.
Viewing SMS Replies in the Patient file
To see full SMS history for a patient, navigate to a patient file and select the Messages tab.
Selecting the + icon on the left-hand side to open the message thread to view the full conversation.
Receiving SMS Replies by Email
To receive general SMS replies by email, go to Settings > PracSuite Account > SMS and enable the setting as shown below. You can either receive replies to the relevant Business email address or to specified email addresses.
To receive SMS appointment reminder replies by email, go to Settings > Appointment Book > Reminders and enable the setting as shown below. You can either receive replies to the relevant Business email address or to specified email addresses.
