Patient Time Zones
Updated over a week ago

PracSuite allows you to store a patient's time zone on their file, primarily to send confirmations and reminders to the patient listing their appointment time in their own time zone. This is ideal for practices offering telehealth appointments around the country. It is also possible for patients to see appointments in their time zone when booking online.

To enable this feature, go to Settings > General and enable the Store Time Zone Per Patient option.

When enabled, you will see a new field to store the patient's time zone on the patient file.

Time Zone in Appointment Confirmations and Reminders

To send appointment confirmations and reminders to patients with times listed in the patient's time zone, you must include the following letter tag:

<<AppointmentTimePatientTZ>>

If you include the standard <<AppointmentTime>> tag, this will display appointments in your PracSuite time zone.

Time Zone on the Online Booking Site

When Store Time Zone Per Patient is enabled, you will have the option to display a time zone selector on the online booking site. This will allow patients to view appointments in their own time zone while booking online.

Ensure the Patient Time Zone slider is enabled in the 'Information to Collect' section.

When appointment times are displayed, the time zone selector will be displayed at the top of the page. Time zones within your country will be displayed, with the patient's device time zone automatically detected.
