Using AI Clinical Notes
Updated this week

To begin, go to a client's Clinical Notes tab and use the AI Clinical Notes button at the top.

PracSuite's AI feature allows you to generate clinical notes in three ways: Dictation, Conversation and Notepad.

  • Dictation - Selecting Dictation allows you to dictate your findings into your connected microphone, and PracSuite will transcribe it to text and then allow you to generate a formatted clinical note based on a template.

  • Conversation - Conversation is designed so that you can record your session with a patient, where PracSuite will transcribe the conversation and organise it into a script, indicating what both the practitioner and the patient have said as the basis for your clinical note. Note that you must request the patient's permission to record the session.

  • Notepad - Notepad provides a text box where you can informally record your clinical session, allowing the AI to format it into a formal clinical note.

  • You can use the Additional Information box while recording or afterwards to add any additional clinical information you want to provide the AI for context.

Once you have selected Finish Recording, you can:

  • Review the Transcript and make any adjustments you deem necessary.

  • Playback the recording, use the blue dot to scrub to a desired part of the recording and use the speaker icon to change the volume.

  • Add Additional Information to be used in additional to the transcription. This is can be used if you do not wish the patient to hear additional information during the transcription process. Either type or use the speaking person icon to record into this section.

  • Use the Include Clinical History button to select additional clinical notes that you would like the AI to consider when writing the note.
