Medicare and DVA card details card be stored in the Medicare/DVA tab of the patient file.

Go to the Patient's File > Medicare / DVA tab.

Click Edit.

Enter the Medicare number, IRN (reference number), Medicare Exp. and/or the DVA number and Card Type.

An Alternate Claimant is added when submitting Medicare Patient Claims on behalf of a dependent, such as a minor. During the Medicare Patient Claim process, the Alternate Claimant can be selected via Tyro EFTPOS or Tyro Health Online.

The Default Claimant will be selected by default when submitting Patient Claims. Ensure you enter their name, DOB and Medicare Card number to proceed with the claiming process.

Click Save to finalise your changes.
